T-Mobile Launches T-Mix Plans With Customizable Perks and Flexible Benefits

Source: Date:

T-Mobile is reshaping its wireless lineup with the official reveal of its new T-Mix plans, which are designed around personal choice rather than predetermined bundles. Launching in November, the new family will include Standard, More, and Loaded tiers, each giving subscribers a set number of Picks that can be used toward the benefits they value most.

Pricing begins at $55 per month for one line on T-Mix Standard with one Pick, $75 per month for T-Mix More with two Picks, and $95 per month for T-Mix Loaded with three Picks. These rates require AutoPay and do not include taxes and fees. Loaded plans provide three Picks for each of the first three lines, up to a combined maximum of 11 Picks. T-Mobile will also offer discounted pricing for customers aged 55 and older, military members and veterans, first responders, and college students.

The Pick system can be applied to entertainment and lifestyle services such as Apple TV, DashPass, Hulu, Netflix, Pandora, and SiriusXM. Additional options include Apple Music, ESPN Unlimited, Delta SkyMiles, Google Gemini, Paramount+, Xbox Game Pass, and YouTube Premium. Picks may also be redeemed for wireless-focused benefits like T-Satellite and Optimized Video Calls, a feature that uses a dedicated network slice to give video calls priority. They can even be applied to device promotions, including offers on a new phone. Partner Picks may be changed four times per year across three change windows and an Annual Remix window, while wireless benefits can be adjusted at any time. However, some third-party services may apply charges if they are switched outside the permitted periods.

On the data side, Standard includes 50GB of premium data, 480p streaming, and unlimited hotspot use at 3G speeds. More and Loaded step up to unlimited premium data and support streaming at up to 4K resolution. Hotspot allowances are 60GB for More and 250GB for Loaded, after which speeds fall back to 3G.

For travel in Canada and Mexico, Standard provides unlimited 2G data, while More and Loaded include 15GB and 30GB of high-speed data, respectively, followed by unlimited data at 256Kbps. Beyond those regions, Standard is limited to unlimited texting in more than 215 countries and destinations. More adds 5GB of high-speed international data and Loaded adds 15GB, with both continuing at 256Kbps once the high-speed allotment is used. International calls are priced at $0.50 per minute across all tiers.

T-Mobile Chief Marketing Officer Allan Samson described the old bundled approach as "one-size-fits-nobody," positioning T-Mix as a more personalized alternative. While the concept sounds appealing, actual savings will depend on how customers use their Picks. T-Mobile says it plans to continue adding new partners and benefits to the program over time.
