Introduction: OnePlus has quietly entered the fast-growing open-ear earbuds segment with the launch of the OnePlus Buds Clip. Positioned as the brand’s first clip-on style earbuds, the new model combines a lightweight design with premium audio features, including dual drivers, Dynaudio tuning, and long battery life. Although OnePlus smartphones are no longer sold in several Western markets, the Buds Clip appear to be headed to select global regions after appearing on the company’s international website.

The OnePlus Buds Clip focus heavily on sound quality. They are equipped with an 11mm woofer and a 9mm tweeter in each earbud, supported by dual DACs and tuning from Danish audio specialist Dynaudio. OnePlus also includes support for LHDC 5.0, AAC, and SBC codecs. Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 6.1, and the earbuds can stay connected to two devices at the same time, making them more convenient for users switching between a phone and a laptop.

For calls and voice features, the Buds Clip use six bone conduction microphones along with a dedicated AI audio chip. OnePlus also mentions an on-device translation feature, adding a practical smart function beyond basic music playback. Each earbud weighs just 5.2 grams and carries IP55 protection against dust and water. Comfort is a major part of the design, with OnePlus using an adaptive nickel-titanium C-bridge that is meant to stay secure without putting too much pressure on the ear.

OnePlus is also targeting one of the common problems with open-style earbuds: sound leakage. The Buds Clip use what the company calls Dipole Sound-Field technology, which sends reverse sound waves through rear vents to reduce audio escaping from the earbuds. This should help keep listening more private, especially in quiet environments.

OnePlus Buds Clip colors

The OnePlus Buds Clip are shown in three color options: Pearl White, Twilight Rose, and Pebble Gray. OnePlus has not yet shared final pricing or exact availability, but the global listing suggests the earbuds may reach more markets than its recent smartphones.
