Oppo Enco X4 First Look: Flagship Noise-Cancelling Earbuds Arrive Internationally

Source: Date:

Oppo’s latest premium true wireless earbuds, the Enco X4, are now beginning to appear outside China, making their international debut alongside the Oppo Find X10 series. Positioned as the company’s flagship noise-cancelling earbud offering, the Enco X4 focuses on high-end audio tuning, smarter ANC processing, long battery life, and a polished everyday design.

Inside the retail box, Oppo keeps things simple. Buyers get the Enco X4 earbuds tucked into their charging case, along with three sizes of silicone eartips — S, M, and L — to help achieve a secure and comfortable fit.

As with earlier Enco releases, Oppo continues its partnership with Dynaudio. The Enco X4 features Dynaudio-tuned sound, and the brand’s logo appears on the charging case. Oppo has given the case a more refined look than typical glossy plastic designs, using a smooth pearlescent finish and a subtle silver accent line around the upper and lower sections.

The charging case supports both USB-C wired charging and wireless charging. Oppo keeps the exterior clean by placing a discreet pairing button on the case, though most users may never need to press it. The earbuds support fast pairing, allowing nearby phones, tablets, and laptops to show a quick connection prompt.

A minimal design with one button and one port

The Enco X4 earbuds use an in-ear design with short stems. Each bud houses Oppo’s fourth-generation dual-driver setup, combining an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. The driver system is paired with dual DACs, reinforcing the Enco X4’s focus on delivering detailed, high-quality sound.

Control is handled through squeeze gestures on the stems. These controls can be used to play or pause audio, as well as switch between active noise cancellation and transparency mode. Oppo claims the ANC performance is 200% improved compared with the Enco X3s, supported by a new 6nm NPU that adjusts noise processing based on the surrounding environment.

For calls and voice capture, each earbud includes four microphones: three standard silicon microphones and one bone-conduction voice pick-up unit. Oppo also adds AI-based noise reduction to help improve call clarity. The Enco X4 carries an IP55 rating, giving it resistance to dust and water splashes. There is also a conversation awareness feature, which can pause music and reduce ANC when the wearer begins speaking.

Battery life is another strong point. Oppo says the Enco X4 can provide up to 53 hours of total usage with the case. In early hands-on use during several flights, the earbuds proved comfortable and dependable, with enough battery remaining after a five-hour flight to still show around half a charge.

Noise cancellation also made a noticeable difference during flight testing, helping reduce constant cabin noise — one of the situations where strong ANC matters most.

Comfortable fit and practical controls

The Oppo Enco X4 has already been on sale in China since September, but it is now expanding to the UK, India, and Continental Europe. The earbuds will be available in Aurora Violet and Glacier White. Launch pricing includes a small discount: £189 in the UK, representing 13% off, and €199 in Europe, showing 9% off, with an additional €20 voucher applied at checkout.
