Oppo Find X10 and iPhone Duo deals: discounts, freebies and foldable alternatives

Source: Date:

This week's big mobile deals revolve around two headline launches: Oppo's Find X10 series is now available globally, and Apple's first foldable, the iPhone Duo, has finally started shipping. If you are deciding between a top-tier Android camera phone and a folding iPhone, the current offers add meaningful value through discounts and bundled extras.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max: Ultra-grade hardware with launch gifts

The Find X10 Pro Max is the strongest device in Oppo's new lineup. It brings a triple 200MP camera system, excellent battery life, a powerful chipset and a high-quality display. The price remains steep, but Amazon is currently taking €100 off and letting buyers choose one free extra.

The gift options are the Oppo Pad 5 with matte display (8/128GB, Wi-Fi, worth about €400), the Oppo Watch X3 (around €310), or the Oppo Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit (around €550). The teleconverter kit is the most distinctive: it adds a 3.3x/70mm lens that works with the phone's own zoom for an effective 10x/230mm reach, and it includes a case, grip and lanyard. A photo comparison shows the added reach, though it also introduces some handling compromises.

Oppo Find X10: a smaller flagship with the same promo style

The regular Find X10 also gets a €100 discount and the same choice of one free gift. It is the more compact model, with a 6.59-inch display instead of the Pro Max's 6.78-inch panel, and it uses the Dimensity 9600M chipset. The Pro Max remains faster thanks to the Dimensity 9600 Pro.

The camera package is still advanced, but not as extreme: the vanilla model has a 200MP main camera with a slightly smaller 1/1.4-inch sensor, a 200MP telephoto with a 65mm lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide instead of the Pro Max's 200MP ultra-wide. European units also use a 7,150mAh battery rather than the 8,000mAh unit found in some other regions.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra: premium cameras at a lower effective price

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra only has a modest €40 price cut, but that still puts it below the standard Find X10. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, carries a 6,000mAh battery and offers serious imaging hardware: a 1-inch-type 50MP main camera, a 200MP telephoto with a 3.2-4.3x/75-100mm variable focal length, and a 50MP ultra-wide.

Poco F9 Ultra: flagship power without the flagship price

The Dimensity 9600 Pro trades blows with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in testing, and while Qualcomm's newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is already appearing on some phones in China, it is not yet available in Europe. The Poco F9 Ultra remains one of the most affordable ways to get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Its camera system is not built like the other Ultra flagships here, but it still includes a 200MP main camera on a 1/1.56-inch sensor, a 50MP 5x/114mm periscope camera and a 50MP ultra-wide. The battery is large at 8,050mAh and supports 100W wired plus 50W wireless charging.

Apple iPhone Duo: foldable prestige at a high cost

Apple's first foldable is expensive. The iPhone Duo starts at €2,300 for 256GB and climbs to €3,800 for the 2TB model. If you want the latest Apple experience but do not need a folding design, the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max is €700 cheaper, while the smaller iPhone 18 Pro is another €150 less.

Samsung gives the iPhone Duo a serious foldable answer

In Europe, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is currently the main wide foldable alternative, with the Xiaomi 18 Fold still not available. Its current discount is large, dropping the entry price to €1,400, which is €900 less than the iPhone Duo. The 512GB version has a smaller reduction.

The Z Fold8 is thinner at 9.7mm and lighter at 201g than the Duo, while offering a similar cover display and inner display size. Battery capacities are close too, so endurance will depend heavily on chipset efficiency: Samsung uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the Duo uses Apple's A20 Pro. Neither device includes a dedicated telephoto camera; the Fold8 relies on dual 50MP cameras, while the Duo uses dual 48MP modules.

Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: larger, still thin, and heavily discounted

Samsung's bigger book-style option, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, adds a 6.5-inch 21:9 cover display and an 8.0-inch inner display. Despite the larger screens, it stays slim at 8.9mm and light at 215g, making it 39g lighter than the iPhone Duo. It also has a stronger main camera with a 200MP 1/1.3-inch sensor and a 10MP 3x/69mm telephoto.

The Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra both have strong 30% discounts on their 256GB versions. The Ultra also gets a useful 17% cut on the 512GB Graphite model. At the time of writing, the 512GB Violet Shadow model was listed at €1,705, or 29% off, but with a long delivery window between November 19 and January 7.
