Oppo Enco X4 Unboxing and First Look: Flagship ANC Earbuds With 53-Hour Battery Life

Source: Date:

Oppo’s latest flagship true wireless earbuds, the Enco X4, have just made their international debut. Launched alongside the Oppo Find X10 series, the new buds aim to deliver stronger noise cancellation, long battery life, and premium sound tuning in a polished, travel-friendly design.

Inside the box, Oppo keeps the package straightforward. You get the Enco X4 earbuds inside their charging case, along with small, medium, and large silicone eartips to help users find the right fit.

As with earlier Enco models, the Enco X4 continue Oppo’s collaboration with Dynaudio for sound tuning. The audio brand’s logo appears on the charging case, while the case itself stands out with a smooth, pearlescent plastic finish and subtle silver accents around the top and bottom.

Dynaudio branding and a refined case design

The charging case supports both USB-C wired charging and wireless charging. Oppo also includes a discreet pairing button, though most users may never need it because the earbuds support fast pairing, allowing nearby phones, tablets, and laptops to show a quick connection prompt.

Minimal controls with wired and wireless charging support

The Enco X4 use an in-ear design with short stems. Inside each earbud is Oppo’s fourth-generation dual-driver system, featuring an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter, paired with dual DACs for improved audio processing.

Control is handled through squeeze gestures on the stems. These can be used for play/pause functions and switching between active noise cancellation and transparency mode. Oppo says the ANC performance is 200% improved compared to the Enco X3s, with a new 6nm NPU helping the earbuds adapt to different noise environments.

For calls, each earbud includes four microphones: three standard silicon microphones and one bone-conduction voice pickup unit. Oppo also adds AI noise reduction, while the earbuds carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. Conversation awareness is included as well, allowing the buds to pause music and reduce ANC when they detect the wearer speaking.

Battery life is one of the Enco X4’s strongest features, with Oppo claiming up to 53 hours of total usage. During early hands-on use on flights, the earbuds felt comfortable and reliable, still showing around half charge remaining after a five-hour flight. Noise cancellation also proved effective in real-world travel conditions, particularly against low-frequency aircraft noise.

Comfortable wear and effective noise cancellation for travel

The Oppo Enco X4 has been available in China since September and is now expanding to markets including the UK, India, and continental Europe. Buyers can choose between Aurora Violet and Glacier White. Launch pricing currently includes a discount, with the UK price at £189 and the EU price at €199, plus an additional €20 voucher applied at checkout in Europe.
