Exclusive Look at the Honor Magic9 Pro Max Before Its Official Launch
As anticipation builds for the unveiling of the Honor Magic9 series, set to debut at the end of this month, excitement surrounds the flagship model, the Magic9 Pro Max. This highly anticipated device made a splash in an early unboxing and hands-on video that surfaced on Weibo, showcasing its sleek design and impressive features.
The video, which you can check out here, opens by revealing the elegant exterior of the Magic9 Pro Max. Distinct from the “Oreo” camera island design of its predecessor, the Magic8 series, this new model features a fresh aesthetic with a blend of round elements and a full-width rectangle for its camera setup.
Notably, the camera specifications are impressive, featuring a primary 200MP sensor with a 1/1.28” size and an f/1.57 lens equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) capable of correcting up to 3° of deflection. Additionally, there's a second 200MP sensor housed behind a periscope lens, further enhancing its photographic capabilities. This collaboration with ARRI promises to elevate the imaging experience of the Magic9 series, following its debut with the Robot Phone.
The front of the phone continues the tradition with a wide pill-shaped cutout accommodating the selfie camera and 3D depth sensor. Interestingly, these devices are touted as the first Android smartphones featuring a square sensor for the selfie camera.
The Honor Magic9 Pro Max boasts slender 1mm bezels around its display, complemented by symmetrical 1216 speakers discretely positioned with grilles at both the top and bottom. The right side of the device features the latest iteration of Honor's AI button, allowing for enhanced usability.
