In a significant move for both Apple and Samsung, the tech giants are set to collaborate on Apple's next generation of MacBook Pro devices. Reports indicate that Samsung Display will be the exclusive supplier of OLED touchscreen panels for the highly anticipated 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, expected to debut in late 2026 or early 2027.

This partnership marks a key development in Apple's sourcing strategy, as earlier indications suggested that LG Display was in the running to supply displays for these new MacBooks. However, Samsung's offer to utilize its advanced 8.6-generation OLED technology apparently clinched the deal for Apple, pushing LG to the sidelines despite their proposal to leverage a sixth-generation OLED line.

As part of this agreement, Samsung is projected to deliver around 2.5 million OLED display units for the next MacBook Pro lineup. Additionally, the company is also anticipated to serve as the exclusive supplier of OLED panels for the upcoming iPhone Ultra, further solidifying its role as a key player in Apple’s supply chain.
