In a highly anticipated move, Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil its first-ever smart glasses at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2027. This announcement comes on the heels of Apple's strategic decision to delay the launch initially slated for this year, allowing for enhancements and privacy considerations to be addressed before the commercial release later in the year.
According to Mark Gurman's latest Power On newsletter, the unveiling at WWDC will give developers the necessary time to create applications tailored to maximize the capabilities of this groundbreaking technology, codenamed N50. Apple's focus appears to be on refining the product and ensuring it aligns with users' privacy expectations amid growing concerns in the industry.

In addition to the smart glasses, Gurman reveals that Apple is on track to introduce the Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4 in 2026. Currently, three new models of smartwatches are in the late stages of testing, including the Wi-Fi-only and LTE versions of the Watch Series 12, with code names N237 and N238, along with the Watch Ultra 4, identified as N240.
While major design overhauls are not expected for the upcoming smartwatches, users can anticipate enhanced health and fitness tracking features alongside a new chipset. Notably, the release of a new Watch SE model seems unlikely in 2026, especially following last year's debut of the Watch SE 3.
