According to a reliable Chinese tipster known for accurate Samsung-related leaks, Samsung may discontinue the Galaxy Z Flip lineup, with the Galaxy Z Flip8 being the final model in this series.

While speculations about the discontinuation of the Galaxy Z Flip series have circulated in the past, they rarely came from credible sources like Ice Universe. Previously, such claims seemed implausible given the robust growth of the foldable smartphone market.
However, this drastic decision seems increasingly plausible as industry dynamics evolve. Rising RAM prices are compelling manufacturers to increase smartphone costs. For instance, the recently launched Motorola Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra are significantly more expensive due to component price hikes.
Moreover, it's important to note the scarcity of clamshell-style foldables in Western markets. Companies like Oppo, Xiaomi, vivo, and Honor have either ceased offerings in Europe and the US or have never introduced their flip foldables outside China. As a result, Samsung and Motorola remain the only manufacturers with flip foldables in their lineup.
While it’s too soon to confirm this development, it's possible that we may see a temporary halt in the Flip8 series rather than a complete discontinuation.
