In November, YouTube began testing a new feature that enables users to engage in conversations within its mobile app. Initially available only in Ireland and Poland, the feature was expanded to select European countries in March and is now launching in additional markets, including the US, UK, Brazil, and Singapore. This new messaging capability allows users to share videos, including long-form content, Shorts, and live streams, directly within the app. To access these features, users must be at least 18 years old, logged into their YouTube accounts, and have the latest version of the YouTube app installed on their devices. It is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

The messaging functionality also offers users the option to unsend messages by long-pressing the message and selecting "Unsend." Users can delete conversations (from their own view only) and block other users as needed. For more information on how YouTube's in-app video sharing and messaging feature works, head this way.
