Google has expanded the availability of its Gemini AI chatbot in Chrome to several new countries. The feature is now integrated into the browser on desktop and iOS platforms across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. A complete list of supported countries can be found here.
However, users in the EU will have to wait a bit longer as the feature is not yet available in that region. Gemini in Chrome initially launched in the United States last year, followed by expansions to Canada, New Zealand, and India in March.
As the name suggests, Gemini is designed to work seamlessly within Chrome. This integration allows it to access your tabs and windows, providing assistance with their content.
Gemini can summarize articles, compare information from multiple tabs, and utilize the Nano Banana 2 tool for image generation and editing. Furthermore, it has deep integration with Google applications, enabling actions such as scheduling meetings in Calendar, checking details in Maps, sending emails via Gmail, and answering questions about YouTube videos—all from a convenient sidebar without the need to switch pages.
