Xiaomi is set to reveal a successor to the Mix Fold 4 later this year. The upcoming foldable device, likely named the Mix Fold 5 or Xiaomi 17 Fold, has recently been identified in the Mi Code database. A new leak has now provided crucial specifications and pricing information for this next-generation foldable phone.
Tipster Digital Chat Station disclosed these new details on Weibo, indicating that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 prototype features a flexible display measuring between 7.5 and 7.6 inches, employing ‘seamless-crease’ technology.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4The leak suggests that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 will be equipped with a battery capacity of approximately 6,000mAh, with support for wireless charging.
This model is also expected to include a 200MP camera, a full water-resistance rating, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Moreover, Xiaomi is reportedly designing a custom Xring chipset specifically for this device.
Finally, the tipster estimates that the pricing for Xiaomi's next-generation foldable could be around CNY 10,000, equivalent to roughly $1,400.
