Telegram has launched a new native app for the Apple Watch, marking a return to dedicated smartwatch support after the original watchOS app was discontinued years ago. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov announced this development in a post on X.

The revamped Telegram app for Apple Watch includes support for text and voice messages. Users can also share GIFs, stream videos, share their location, and use stickers. Access to all conversations and contacts is also available directly from the watch app.
To sync contacts and messages, users need to scan a QR code from the Telegram app on their iPhone after installing the watch app.
The new Telegram app for watchOS is currently available for download from the App Store.
