Android (Go Edition) caters to low-end devices by optimizing performance for limited storage, RAM, and processing power. Google has announced the introduction of Gemini Go, specifically designed for Android (Go Edition) phones that feature a minimum of 2GB of RAM.
Since the release of Android 13 (Go Edition), 2GB has been the standard minimum requirement for these devices, resulting in a significant number that meet this threshold. Google describes Gemini Go as "a streamlined version of Gemini designed to help you stay connected and accomplish tasks, even on devices with limited storage."

Gemini Go replaces Google Assistant Go and is accessible through the Google Search app. Users can initiate a conversation with Gemini Go by pressing and holding the Home button or the power button on compatible devices.
This new assistant can make calls, send texts, check drive times to locations, find restaurants and charging stations, set alarms, create calendar events, play media, and much more. Users can also upload documents, photos, and other files to provide more context for their interactions.
Currently, Gemini Go is being rolled out gradually. Given Google's history with gradual updates, users may experience delays in availability for their eligible devices, which could extend over several weeks.
