Microsoft has officially announced the rollout of Xbox Mode on Windows 11 in select markets. This feature will be accessible on desktops, laptops, and tablets, aiming to deliver a "console-inspired Xbox experience to more players than ever."

With Xbox Mode, players can easily dive into their games, enjoying a controller-optimized full-screen experience that is specifically designed for gaming. The mode features a streamlined interface, placing your game library and recently played titles at your fingertips while minimizing background distractions.

Xbox Mode is now rolling out on Windows 11

Users can browse and launch games directly with their controllers and access an aggregated game library, which includes the entire catalog from Xbox Game Pass as well as installed games from popular PC storefronts.

Switching between Xbox Mode and the Windows 11 desktop is seamless, allowing for flexibility in how gamers interact with their systems. Initially introduced on Windows handheld devices as a "full screen experience," Xbox Mode has evolved based on player feedback that shaped its features on Windows 11 PCs.

To access Xbox Mode on your Windows 11 PC, navigate to Settings > Windows Update and enable "Get the latest updates as soon as they are available." Keep in mind, however, that this does not guarantee immediate availability of the feature for your device, as Microsoft is expanding Xbox Mode's reach gradually over the coming weeks.
