Google's Gemini can now effortlessly generate files for users in various formats. The supported formats include Workspace files—Docs, Sheets, and Slides—as well as .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .csv, LaTeX, Plain Text (TXT), Rich Text Format (RTF), and Markdown (MD).
This feature is now available globally to all Gemini users. Simply provide a prompt, and Gemini will generate the desired file for you. According to Google, this new functionality "will allow you to easily transfer your work into different applications" without the hassle of copying, pasting, and reformatting.
Once Gemini has created the requested file, users can directly download it to their devices or export it to their Google Drive for convenience.
