Google introduced the Titan M2 security chip with the Pixel 6 series in 2021, and it is still part of the Pixel 10 lineup. However, after more than four years, it's becoming increasingly outdated.
Fortunately, a new rumor suggests that the Titan M3 will debut later this year with the Pixel 11 series, alongside the Tensor G6 SoC. While details on the Titan M3 are scarce, it is reportedly codenamed Google Epic, indicating a significant upgrade over its predecessor. If the name is anything to go by, we can expect substantial improvements.

For context, the Titan M2 is responsible for secure boot, on-device encryption key protection, anti-rollback protection, and lock screen passcode verification. It is designed to remain secure, even if the Android operating system or the Tensor chip itself is compromised.
