A report last year indicated that Apple was developing an AI-powered Health+ service designed to provide personalized health suggestions based on user data. This service was expected to offer features like exercise form correction using the iPhone camera. However, recent rumors suggest that Apple is scaling back its efforts.

A few months after Apple integrated its Health and Fitness teams under the Services group led by Eddy Cue, the decision was made to discontinue the Health+ service. Cue believes that Apple is currently not competitive enough in the wellness market.
Internal sources reveal that Cue wanted the company to enhance its pace and competitiveness in the wellness sector. However, the market has become saturated with competitors like Oura, which offer a wide array of health-oriented features on iOS.
Rather than launching the Health+ service, Apple plans to gradually incorporate its developed features into the existing Health app. Notably, features such as user data-driven recommendations are expected to be rolled out this year, along with an AI health chatbot to address wellness inquiries in the near future.
