Asus chairman Jonney Shih announced the brand's decision to discontinue smartphone production during a special gala event at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Reports indicate that Asus will redirect its resources and research and development efforts toward commercial PCs and physical AI technologies, such as robotics and smart glasses. The company will continue to provide maintenance, software updates, and warranty services for existing smartphone users.

During the same event, Shih revealed that Asus had achieved a revenue of TWD 738.91 billion ($23.4 billion) for 2025, marking a 26% increase over 2024. Notably, the AI server segment experienced remarkable growth, achieving 100% growth and successfully doubling its targets.
