Motorola has shown inconsistency with its flagship releases over the years, particularly with its Edge series, which has featured an Ultra model in some years but not in others. Now, the company is introducing the Signature line to target the premium market, and the first model in this lineup is quite compelling.
The Motorola Signature is not a full-fledged flagship, yet it is priced significantly lower than many competitors. In Europe, a model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is available for £900/€1,000. For comparison, the vivo X300 Pro is priced at €400 more, while the OnePlus 15 costs €1,000.
The Signature boasts a slim and lightweight design, measuring just 7.0mm in thickness and weighing 186g. While the slimness may not appeal to everyone, the lightweight construction is an advantage, being 47g lighter than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, all while housing a more substantial 5,200mAh battery. Additionally, it supports fast charging with 90W wired and 50W wireless options, significantly outpacing offerings from Apple, Google, and Samsung this year.
The device features a 6.8-inch LTPO display (165Hz, 1264p+) and includes an ultrasonic fingerprint reader underneath the screen. It also has a USB-C 3.1 Gen2 port along with DisplayPort 1.4 capabilities, allowing it to connect to external displays.

However, there are two areas where the Signature falls short of flagship status – the chipset and camera quality. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite), which is positioned below last year's Elite version, though it remains a capable processor.
In terms of photography, the device sports four 50MP cameras. The main camera features a large 1/1.28” sensor (Sony LYT-828), accompanied by a 3x/71mm telephoto lens with a 1/1.95” sensor, and a 122° ultra-wide angle camera. Additionally, there is a 21mm selfie camera with an autofocus f/2.0 lens. While these cameras may not rival Ultra-grade models, they do have larger sensors compared to those found on the OnePlus 15.

Motorola’s Hello UI is efficient, and the Smart Connect (formerly known as Ready For) feature offers a desktop mode. Furthermore, the phone is scheduled to receive 7 years of OS updates.
