An outage-tracking website, Downdetector, reported a spike in complaints not only for Verizon but also for AT&T and T-Mobile. While service disruptions for these two carriers have not been as widespread, both started experiencing issues around the same time the Verizon outage began, at approximately 11:30 AM ET.
Verizon's Outage Causes Spillover Effects
As of 13:17 ET, T-Mobile logged 1,572 complaints, with about 50% of users reporting no signal. AT&T recorded 1,724 complaints, with 55% experiencing a lack of signal.
Currently, it remains uncertain if there is a common cause for the outages affecting AT&T and T-Mobile customers or if the perceived issues are solely due to their inability to reach Verizon users.
Verizon has acknowledged its network problems and is actively working to rectify the situation.
