Oppo Reno17 Series Launch Officially Confirmed for November 9

Oppo has officially confirmed that the Reno17 series will arrive in China on November 9, bringing the second Reno refresh of the year after the company’s long-standing twice-yearly upgrade rhythm. Before this confirmation, the rumor cycle had already begun, but the Weibo announcement now locks in the launch date and sets the stage for a major hardware refresh.

Oppo Reno17 and Reno17 Pro

The company also said the phones will be available in stores on the same day, allowing customers to inspect the designs and features in person. Oppo has already opened blind pre-orders for the Reno17 and Reno17 Pro, and early reporting suggests the new lineup will be a significant step up over the previous generation. The standard Reno17 is rumored to include an 8,000 mAh battery, while the smaller Reno17 Pro may carry a 7,200 mAh cell. Both models are expected to use a 200MP rear main camera, and one report says the redesign could be compatible with the Hasselblad teleconverter kit introduced with the Find X10 series last month.

Although the confirmed date only covers China, a global rollout is still expected in time for the holiday shopping season.
