Nothing is continuing its teaser-driven strategy as CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the company’s first AI-native product will officially debut next month. The announcement follows Pei’s earlier statement in September 2025 that Nothing intended to launch its first AI-native products in 2026.
Although the exact identity of the product has not been disclosed, Pei has shared a few notable clues. The AI-native device will not include a screen, and the CEO emphasized that it “couldn’t have been an app.” The teaser image provided a limited look at the hardware, showing a device with rounded corners and curved edges, but no additional details have been revealed so far.
Pei described the upcoming product as having the “personality and care” typically associated with Nothing’s design language. He also explained that the company is well-positioned to develop the device because it controls both hardware and software in-house.
The teaser article also touched on the future direction of AI, suggesting that it is expected to become a more proactive tool that works for users rather than merely serving as a productivity add-on. It also noted that new technologies often gain traction in the workplace before becoming common in everyday consumer life.
Meanwhile, Nothing is also rumored to be working on AI-powered wearables, including smart glasses with and without cameras, which could point to a broader expansion beyond its existing product lineup.
