Ahead of its official unveiling on November 5, the Motorola Signature 27 has started to reveal the capabilities of its flagship hardware after a Geekbench listing put its performance on display. The early result suggests the device is already capable of strong processing power, with retail units expected to deliver even better performance.
The Signature 27 was first introduced in September at Snapdragon Summit, the same event where Qualcomm revealed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processors. Motorola says the Signature 27 will be built around the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, and the new Geekbench entry appears to be one of the first glimpses of that chipset in action.
The Signature 27 build that appeared in Geekbench 7.1 was running Android 17 and is listed with 12GB of RAM. It recorded 3,313 points in the single-core test and 11,088 points in the multi-core test. Those figures are promising, though final performance could improve once optimization is complete on shipping models.
While Motorola has not yet shared the full specifications, the company has confirmed that the Signature 27 will include a 50MP Sony LYT 910 primary camera and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. It will also feature an ArcticMesh cooling system with a vapor chamber that is 40% larger than the one used in the previous generation.
Motorola Signature 27 color options
Additional details show that the Signature 27 will receive seven years of OS updates, feature audio tuned by Bang & Olufsen, and launch in two colorways: Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Olive.
