Karbonn has officially returned to India's smartphone segment with the launch of its new Rebel series, which includes the standard Rebel and the Rebel Pro. Both 4G handsets will be available for purchase online in India starting November 4.
The Karbonn Rebel is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset and features a 6.75-inch LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate.
On the back, the Rebel carries a large horizontal camera island with three cutouts. Karbonn has only confirmed a 50MP primary rear camera, which suggests the other two cutouts may be decorative. The company has not shared front camera details, though a front-facing camera is present.
The device packs a 7,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging. It runs Android 16 and is promised to receive two years of OS and security updates. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and an IP64 rating.
The Karbonn Rebel starts at INR 11,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and is offered in Blue, Gold, and Silver colour options.
The Karbonn Rebel Pro is also driven by the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset but steps up to a 6.7-inch LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate.
At the rear, the Rebel Pro sports a vertically aligned camera module with three cutouts. Karbonn has confirmed only a 64MP primary rear camera, and the phone also gets a 16MP front-facing camera.
The Rebel Pro packs a smaller 6,000mAh battery but supports faster 20W wired charging. It also runs stock Android 16 and is promised to receive two years of OS and security updates. The handset includes an IP64 rating, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
The Rebel Pro is priced at INR 12,499 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration and will be available in Cherry Red, Blue, Gold, and Gray colour options.
