Google is making it easier to refine AI-created files without leaving Gemini. Starting today, users can preview and edit documents, PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets, code, and more directly in the Gemini app.
When you open a generated file in full screen, you can type changes right into the document, select text to ask questions about it, have Gemini polish the wording or visuals, or ask follow-up questions on the spot.
There is one limitation to note: PDF preview and editing works on both web and mobile, but all other file types — including Google Docs, Google Sheets, slide decks, Markdown files, TXT files, and code — are currently supported only on the web. The update is available now to all Gemini users in every supported language.
