Introducing the New vivo X500 Series: X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max
The highly anticipated vivo X500 series has officially launched, featuring three new smartphones: the X500, X500 Pro, and the premium X500 Pro Max. This impressive lineup boasts cutting-edge technology, including the latest MediaTek processors and state-of-the-art camera systems, positioning them as top contenders in the competitive smartphone market.
Powerful Performance with MediaTek Processors
The X500 Pro and Pro Max are powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9600 Pro chip, while the standard vivo X500 utilizes the Dimensity 9600M, a variant of last year’s Dimensity 9500 series.
Advanced Camera Technology
The standout feature of the X500 series is undoubtedly its camera capabilities. Both the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max are equipped with a custom 24mm equivalent 50MP main camera featuring Sony’s LYTIA L910 sensor (1/1.28-inch) developed in collaboration with vivo. It showcases Zeiss T* coating, an f/1.57 fixed aperture, and a dynamic range of 17 EV. The Pro Max variant also integrates a “gimbal-grade” 3-degree OIS, enhancing stability for immersive photography.
The X500 Pro Max boasts an 85mm equivalent 200MP periscope telephoto lens utilizing Samsung's ISOCELL HP0 sensor with CIPA 7.0 pro-grade stabilization. Meanwhile, the X500 Pro features a 64MP telephoto camera with similar stabilization capabilities. Both Pro models share an innovative 15mm equivalent 50MP ultrawide sensor (1/2.75").
For video enthusiasts, both Pro models excel with 4K 240fps cinematic slow motion capabilities, and the Pro Max can record in stunning 8K at 30fps. Additionally, they support advanced video formats including 10-bit video with 422 encoding and the ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) color management framework.
Impressive Display and Battery Life
Both the X500 Pro and Pro Max feature LTPO AMOLED displays with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, while the X500 has a slightly smaller 6.59-inch AMOLED display. Each model has high peak brightness ratings of up to 4,500 nits.
In terms of battery, the X500 Pro Max comes with an 8,000 mAh Si-C battery, while the Pro and the standard X500 feature 6,510 mAh and 7,500 mAh batteries, respectively. All models support 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, alongside robust ingress protection ratings of IP68 & IP69.
Color Options and Pricing
The X500 series is available in various color options. The standard X500 comes in white, gray, and black, starting at CNY 5,499 (approximately $821). The X500 Pro and Pro Max are offered in white, gray, black, and orange, with prices starting at CNY 6,499 (about $970) and CNY 6,999 (around $1,045), respectively.
