Following the official launch of the X500 series in China, attention is now shifting toward the highly anticipated X500 Ultra. Although vivo has not disclosed extensive details about the device, a vivo executive recently revealed the expected timeline for the release of this powerful successor to the X300 Ultra in a media interview after the X500 series event.
Huang Tao, Vice President of Product at vivo, has announced that the vivo X500 Ultra is slated to make its debut in China sometime in either March or April 2027. This is particularly notable as its predecessor was introduced to the market on March 30.

Furthermore, the executive indicated that the Ultra variant will showcase a substantial improvement in camera performance over the X500 Pro Max.
In the midst of this, revered tipster Digital Chat Station has shared that the core hardware specifications for the upcoming flagship have been locked in. The X500 Ultra is expected to feature a more robust battery, with specifications similar to those found in the recently announced X500 Pro Max.
Additionally, prior reports have hinted that vivo is currently testing three different 200MP sensors, specifically designed for the telephoto camera of the X500 Ultra. The device is also rumored to include a new 35mm 50MP main sensor, which promises enhanced stabilization capabilities.
