BMW iX3 Sets Production Records with Over 100,000 Orders

In a significant milestone for BMW, production of the iX3 is now operating around the clock at their Debrecen, Hungary plant, thanks to the overwhelming demand for the electric SUV. With over 100,000 orders already placed in Europe, BMW is expanding its production capability to meet customer demand, marking a new chapter in its growth in the EV market.

To facilitate this surge in demand, BMW has introduced a third shift to the Debrecen factory, adding to the second shift that began in February. This 24/7 production schedule signifies the most rapid ramp-up for any new plant under the BMW Group umbrella.

The Debrecen plant celebrated a milestone in July with the completion of the 50,000th iX3 vehicle, yet there is a considerable journey ahead to fulfill the backlog of orders.

Commencing series production earlier this year, the Debrecen facility is also set to produce a second model from the innovative Neue Klasse family "later this autumn." The factory is designed to accommodate a diverse array of customer-specific vehicle configurations, reflecting BMW's commitment to personalization.
