The anticipation surrounding the Vivo X500 continues to build as the device has been spotted in the Geekbench database under the model number V2609A. This leak provides an early glimpse into the performance capabilities of the upcoming smartphone.
In the recent Geekbench 6.7.1 benchmark test for Android, the Vivo X500 achieved impressive scores, earning a single-core score of 2,694 and a multi-core score of 7,770. These results indicate that the device is powered by a MediaTek chipset, which could either be the latest Dimensity 9600M or the previous year's Dimensity 9500. The distinction between these two chipsets is subtle, making it challenging to identify the exact one at this stage.
The benchmarked prototype was equipped with 12GB of RAM, though it's expected that Vivo may introduce additional configurations when the phone officially launches. One key feature confirmed is that the Vivo X500 will come pre-installed with Android 17, layered with Vivo's OriginOS 7 user interface.
Notably, while the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max models are confirmed to feature the advanced Dimensity 9600 Pro SoC, the standard X500 opts for a more economical chipset to appeal to budget-conscious consumers. The trio of devices is slated for an official reveal in China on September 21.
