Vivo is gearing up to unveil its much-anticipated smartphone, the S2, with the launch event scheduled for August 6 at 12 PM IST in India. With this upcoming release, Vivo aims to captivate smartphone enthusiasts with a combination of cutting-edge design and robust specifications.
The official promo page on Vivo's Indian website showcases an image of the S2, providing a glimpse into its aesthetic appeal. The front of the device features a sleek curved display, complemented by a central punch-hole for the selfie camera. The back reveals a horizontally arranged camera setup, which includes two cameras and a circular flash for enhanced photography capabilities.
On the right side of the Vivo S2, you will find a plastic frame housing the volume rocker and power button, while the top is equipped with a secondary microphone and speaker.
Vivo has previously boasted that the S2 will showcase a flagship-inspired design alongside powerful performance features, captivating photography and videography capabilities, and an immersive audio-visual experience. While specific details remain under wraps, recent leaks suggest that the Vivo S2 will be equipped with the Dimensity 7360 Turbo SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is expected to run on OriginOS 6 and feature a large 6.83" AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution.
The rear camera setup is anticipated to include a 50MP Sony IMX582 sensor alongside a 2MP unit, while the front-facing camera will boast a 32MP sensor for high-quality selfies. Additionally, the smartphone will be powered by a substantial 7,050 mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. The Vivo S2 is rumored to have IP68 and IP69 ratings for enhanced durability, and its launch price is likely to fall within the range of INR 40,000 to INR 45,000.
