Amazon's Alexa+ AI chatbot has recently become available to all users in the US and is now set to launch in India, featuring support for the Hindi language. The company is encouraging Indian users to participate in the beta testing of the Hindi version.
Amazon has emailed select customers in India, inviting them to complete a form in Hindi by June 22 to join the beta-testing program for Alexa+. Participants will be notified when the testing phase for the Hindi version is ready.

As with any beta software, users should expect potential bugs, and Amazon has cautioned that Alexa+ might provide inaccurate information or struggle with local pronunciations. The company has confirmed to TechCrunch that it is testing Alexa+ in India but has not disclosed further details officially.
The timeline for the official launch of Alexa+ in India remains unclear. The original Alexa was introduced in the country in English back in 2017, followed by Hindi support in 2019. Considering that over 600 million people speak Hindi, the inclusion of the language in Alexa+ is significant. After its initial release in the US, Alexa+ has also been made available in the UK, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Austria, France, and Germany. Amazon Prime members can access it for free, while non-subscribers can use it for a monthly fee.
