Amazon's Alexa+ AI chatbot, which became widely available in the US in February, is now poised to enter the Indian market, offering support for Hindi. The company is currently inviting users in India to participate in the beta testing of the Hindi version.
Amazon has reached out to select customers in India via email, encouraging them to fill out a form in Hindi by June 22 if they wish to join the beta-testing program. Participants will be notified when the Hindi testing experience becomes available.

As with any beta software, users may encounter bugs, and Amazon has cautioned that Alexa+ may occasionally provide inaccurate information or mispronounce local nuances. While the company confirmed its testing of Alexa+ in India, further official details remain sparse.
The timeline for Alexa+'s full launch in India is still uncertain. The original Alexa made its debut in the country in English back in 2017, followed by Hindi support in 2019. Given that over 600 million people speak Hindi, providing this language option in Alexa+ is crucial. Since its initial launch in the US, Alexa+ has also expanded to the UK, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Austria, France, and Germany. Amazon Prime members have free access to the service, while non-subscribers can opt for a monthly subscription fee.
