vivo continues its promotional campaign for the X Fold6 as it prepares for the phone's launch next week. The latest teasers reveal important details about the foldable's battery capacity, durability ratings, and connectivity features.
In a recent Weibo post, vivo’s product manager Han Boxiao announced that the vivo X Fold6 will be equipped with a robust 7,000mAh battery. This innovative battery utilizes an industry-first fifth-generation silicon anode technology alongside a third-generation semi-solid state battery technology.
According to vivo, the X Fold6 is capable of delivering up to 9.8 hours of battery life under heavy usage, marking a 30% improvement over its predecessor, the X Fold5.
The company has also confirmed that the flagship foldable will feature both IPX8 and IPX9 water-resistance ratings, along with an improved hinge design. Additionally, vivo has stated that the device will include an upgraded communication system featuring new Wi-Fi and signal amplification antennas.
Recently, vivo released a teaser video showcasing the X Fold6 in three color variants. The official names for these colors are Blue Hole, Salt Lake, and Polar Night. A special Black Gold Edition with gold accents will also be available.
The vivo X Fold6 is set to be unveiled in China on June 26 and is confirmed to feature an 8.02-inch foldable screen, a 200MP primary rear camera, and will operate on OriginOS 6 Fold. It will be powered by a special edition Dimensity 9500 chipset.
