Honor 600 Smart: Features a Massive 6.87" Display and 7,700mAh Battery

Source: Date:

The newly unveiled Honor 600 Smart showcases the largest battery in the 600 series outside of China. The device boasts a substantial 6.87” LCD screen and a rugged design.

Equipped with a 7,700mAh battery, it surpasses the Honor 600 and 600 Pro, which feature 7,000mAh batteries. However, the latter models have smaller 6.57” displays and are slimmer at 7.8mm, compared to the Smart’s 8.3mm thickness. According to SFR metrics, the Honor 600 Smart can stream video for an impressive 28 hours continuously and offers up to 93 hours of usage on a single charge. It also supports 45W fast charging.

The Honor 600 Smart stands out as one of the largest smartphones on the market, featuring a 6.87” display with a brightness of up to 1,020 nits. However, its resolution of 720 x 1,592 pixels appears low for such a large screen.

This device is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, a 4nm chip with a sub-6GHz 5G modem. Honor has previously introduced this chipset in the Honor Play 80 Plus, which has a smaller 6.61” 720p+ display and a 7,500mAh battery.

This chipset, while capable, does not compete with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 found in the Honor 600, nor was it designed to. Despite the device having only 4GB of RAM, it offers an extension option known as “RAM Turbo” that may not perform as efficiently as true RAM. Additionally, it comes with 128GB of non-expandable internal storage.

While details on the camera system remain scarce, the rear-facing main camera features a 50MP sensor capable of recording 1080p video, outperforming the single 13MP camera in the Play 80 Plus.

The Honor 600 Smart has undergone drop tests for falls from heights of 2.5m and can endure submersion up to 1.5m underwater for 30 minutes. Its robust construction is certified by Swiss SGS Premium Performance standards.

Furthermore, the Smart is equipped with stereo speakers featuring a 400% volume boost mode and includes an AI button—a necessity for modern smartphones.

Honor France has listed the device as “coming soon,” with no pricing details available yet. It appears that SFR, France's second-largest mobile carrier, will be offering the Honor 600 Smart, but pricing information has not been disclosed.
