According to a recent report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is developing the second-generation iPhone Air, which is anticipated to launch in Spring 2027. The first-generation iPhone Air was introduced in September 2025.

The report cites sources familiar with the matter, indicating that the upcoming iPhone Air will feature a dual rear camera system. In contrast to its predecessor, this new model is expected to include an ultrawide camera in addition to the primary sensor. Internally, the device is reportedly referred to as V62.

Gurman notes that the iPhone Air 2 will maintain a similar design to the existing model, but is anticipated to offer enhanced battery life. It remains uncertain whether these improvements will stem from a larger battery or a more efficient chipset combined with software optimizations.

The iPhone Air 2 is expected to launch alongside the standard iPhone 18 in Spring 2027. It is also reported to be equipped with Apple's A20 Pro chip, the same processor anticipated in this year's iPhone 18 Pro models.
