Microsoft has announced updates for four of its laptop models today: the Surface Pro 13, Surface Laptop 13-inch, Surface Laptop 13.8-inch, and Surface Laptop 15-inch. These new devices are powered by the recently launched Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips, with Snapdragon X2 versions expected to be available later this year.
Surface Laptop
Let’s highlight the key updates, starting with the Surface Laptop 13.8-inch and 15-inch models. These laptops now offer new display options, including a privacy screen feature akin to that found on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The 15-inch model boasts a higher resolution, although it still utilizes an LCD display. OLED versions are anticipated to arrive in the coming months.
Another significant upgrade for the 13.8-inch and 15-inch Surface Laptop models is the enhanced trackpad, which now supports Windows 11's haptic feedback. Users will experience subtle responses when interacting with specific UI elements, such as snapping app windows or aligning objects.
The mid-range Surface Laptop 13-inch model also benefits from the new Intel chips and now features an anti-reflective display. This version has a starting price of $1,499. However, a more budget-friendly option with 8GB of RAM and without Copilot+ capabilities will be available soon, priced at $1,299.

Surface Pro
The Surface Pro 13-inch has received a modest upgrade with the newest Core Ultra chips, although it does not include the updated touchpad found on the Surface Laptops.
The flagship Surface Pro and Surface Laptops start at $1,949, equipped with Intel Core Ultra 5 chips and 16GB of RAM. Microsoft attributes the price increases to the rising costs of components.
It's worth noting that these prices pertain to the business variants, while commercial versions are expected to launch alongside the OLED models later this summer.
