Lenovo has reentered the smartphone market with the Legion Y70 (2026), marking its first launch under its own brand since the Y90 in 2022.
Leading up to this announcement, various teasers revealed much about the Legion Y70, a gaming smartphone boasting impressive specifications, including an extraordinary 8,000mAh battery that supports 90W charging and bypass charging capabilities.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite) SoC and comes with options for 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, operating at speeds of up to 9,600Mbps. It also features 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Cooling solutions include a 5,500mm2 vapor chamber designed to reduce CPU core temperatures by 7°C.

With significant battery performance, the Legion Y70's 8,000mAh battery is designed to last two days on a single charge, with longevity projected for 7 years or 1,200 cycles.

The smartphone features a 6.8-inch OLED display with a stunning 144Hz refresh rate, achieving peak brightness of 7,000 nits and supporting Dolby Vision.
On the camera front, the Legion Y70 offers a versatile 50MP wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera capable of focusing at just 2.5cm, and a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The Lenovo Legion Y70 is now available for pre-order, starting at CNY 3,099 (approximately €390, GBP 340, $450, or INR 44,000). Customers can choose between Ice Soul White and Carbon Black colors, with storage options including 12/256GB, 12/512GB, 16/512GB, and 1TB/512GB models.
