Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold series are gearing up to enter their eighth generation later this year, with reports from South Korea outlining some anticipated changes for the flip model.

One significant update is expected to be a crease-free folding panel paired with a new hinge mechanism. Although the report lacks specific details, it is likely that Samsung will utilize dual-layer Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), similar to the rumored features of the Z Fold8.

The Z Flip8 is reported to be slightly taller than its predecessor, while also being 8 grams lighter despite the enhanced hardware. However, Samsung is not expected to update the camera system; it is likely that the same 50MP main and 12MP ultrawide lenses will be featured for a third consecutive generation. Key components such as the external display, speakers, and vibration motor are also anticipated to remain unchanged.

Earlier reports indicate that the Z Flip7’s 4,300mAh battery capacity and 25W charging speeds are likely to carry over to the Z Flip8. Additionally, the latest findings suggest a potential price increase, which may be confined to the South Korean market.
