Just weeks after its initial launch in China, the Huawei Mate X7 is now available internationally. The foldable smartphone comes in White, Black, and Nebula Red, offered in a single 16/512 GB configuration, priced at €2,099.
Having tested the device firsthand, you can find our hands-on review here. The Mate X7 introduces key improvements over its predecessor, including IP58 and IP59 ingress protection ratings, Huawei’s latest Kirin 9030 Pro chipset, a revamped telephoto camera, and a slightly larger battery.

The device features larger displays: a 6.49-inch cover screen with a 20.4:9 aspect ratio and an 8-inch main screen with an 8:7.3 ratio. Both screens use LTPO OLED technology with a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz and high-frequency PWM dimming at 1,440Hz. The cover screen is protected by Crystal Armour Kunlun glass, while the foldable main display benefits from a new three-layer composite structure incorporating an additional protective layer and UTG glass.

On the rear, the Mate X7 sports a triple camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with an RYYB filter, a 10-stop physical variable aperture (f/1.4-4.0), and optical image stabilization (OIS). The telephoto shooter has been upgraded to a 50MP sensor with a wider f/2.2 aperture and 3.5x optical zoom. Completing the array is a 40MP ultrawide camera. For selfies, the device includes two 8MP cameras—one on the cover screen and another on the inner foldable display.
