Samsung Galaxy S26 Series to Feature Magnetic Cases and Unique 5,000mAh Wireless Battery Pack

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to integrate built-in magnets to support Qi2 wireless charging, moving beyond the magnetic cases required by the S25 series. However, magnetic cases will still be necessary for optimal use.

According to WinFuture, Samsung plans to offer several first-party magnetic cases, most compatible across all S26 models. Notably, the Carbon Case will exclude support for the Ultra model. The confirmed cases include:

  • Samsung Magnetic Carbon Case Black for Galaxy S26 and S26+
  • Samsung Clear Case Transparent for Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra
  • Samsung Magnetic Clear Case Transparent for Galaxy S26, S26+ & S26 Ultra
  • Samsung Magnetic Rugged Clear Case Black for Galaxy S26, S26+ & S26 Ultra
  • Samsung Magnetic Silicone Case for Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra (Black or Grey)
  • Samsung Dual Magnetic Ring Holder for all models

In addition, Samsung is developing a 5,000mAh magnetic power bank called the Magnetic Wireless Battery Pack (model EB-U2500). NotebookCheck reports that this device has been certified by the Wireless Power Consortium and supports Qi version 2.1.0 MPP.

Interestingly, the battery pack features an unusual design with cutouts above the coil ring, deviating from the standard flat-backed Qi batteries that lie flush against the phone. This raises questions about its compatibility—whether it is intended to fit specific cases or to avoid interference with the Galaxy S series’ camera module, which is typically aligned vertically in the top-left corner. Unlike Samsung, iPhone and Pixel devices use a more horizontal camera layout, which avoids such conflicts with wireless accessories.

Leaks suggest Samsung will retain the current camera design for the S26 generation, potentially reusing the S25’s camera system.

On the charging front, Samsung is set to enhance wireless charging speeds with the new Qi2 25W standard—offering 25W for the S26 Ultra and 20W for the S26 and S26+ models, up from 15W for all three in the previous generation.

Samsung has also introduced a companion 25W wireless charger, model EP-P2900, although its certification has not yet been confirmed.
