OnePlus is set to officially unveil the 15R on December 17. Ahead of the launch, the company has shared several key details, including a highlight on the device’s selfie camera.
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 15R will feature the best selfie camera ever included in an R series phone.
The 15R is equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera, doubling the 16MP sensor found on the 13R. Notably, this new sensor supports autofocus, a welcome feature that is increasingly common even in mid-range smartphones.
The front camera on the OnePlus 15R can record 4K video at 30 frames per second, an upgrade from the 1080p video capability on its predecessor. Additionally, the device will incorporate OnePlus’s DetailMax Engine, previously introduced on the flagship OnePlus 15, to enhance image clarity.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15R is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It also features a 165Hz AMOLED display with "1.5K" resolution and packs a large 7,400 mAh battery.
