Ayaneo is entering the smartphone market with a unique take on gaming phones. Its upcoming device, the Pocket Play, features a slide-out controller that immediately recalls the iconic Sony Ericsson Xperia Play from 2011.
Although Ayaneo has yet to reveal detailed specifications or pricing, the design appears premium and thoughtfully crafted. The slide-out controller includes a D-pad, ABXY buttons, and dual touchpads that serve as joysticks, enhancing the gaming experience.
The device is equipped with L1, L2, R1, and R2 shoulder buttons, dual rear cameras, stereo speakers, and a USB-C port. The Pocket Play will be available in black and white and is expected to run Android. Ayaneo has announced the device as "coming soon" via its Kickstarter campaign.
