Following XPeng's entry into the UK market in February 2025, the popular G6 SUV has undergone a comprehensive redesign to appeal to drivers seeking advanced technology without compromising practicality.
The new G6 emerges as a strong contender for buyers interested in an all-electric vehicle capable of handling the diverse challenges of daily driving, from congested urban streets to the varied road conditions across the UK.

The G6’s standout feature is its cutting-edge charging technology. Built around an 80.8 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, the vehicle avoids reliance on costly and ethically sensitive metals like cobalt, nickel, and manganese, yet delivers comparable performance.
Coupled with XPeng’s advanced 800V high-voltage Silicon Carbide (SiC) platform, this battery achieves a peak charging power of 451 kW, enabling what XPeng claims is the fastest charging time in its segment—charging from 10% to 80% state of charge in just 12 minutes.

This technology also extends the battery’s lifespan by approximately 30%. For the UK’s chilly winters, all trims now include a high-efficiency heat pump paired with XPeng Heat Boost technology, ensuring cabin warmth without significant range loss.
Performance enthusiasts can opt for the new all-wheel-drive Performance Black Edition, launching in the UK for the first time. This dual-motor configuration delivers 358 kW of power and 487 lb-ft of torque, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in 4.13 seconds.

Equipped with an advanced AWD system and refined chassis tuning, the Black Edition promises confident traction and superior handling. It features 20-inch black sport alloy wheels, smoked black exterior accents on mirrors and window trims, black brake calipers, and gray suede-textured upholstery.
XPeng highlights over 20,000 incremental refinements throughout the G6, focusing on suspension, chassis tuning, and reduced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels to deliver a smooth, stable, and comfortable ride.

The exterior includes a 76.5-inch Starlight LED light bar stretching across the front fascia, integrating turn signals for a distinctive appearance. The G6 replaces previous black cladding with body-colored wheel arches and features a cleaner rear diffuser with a new rear spoiler, maintaining an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.248 Cd. The new Stellar Purple color option adds flair for those seeking style.
Inside, the cabin balances luxury and practicality with wood-grain dashboard trim, suede-effect ceiling, and a refreshed Dark Grey color theme. Front seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions, while rear seats support 12-level recline adjustment.

The G6 boasts practical features such as redesigned speaker covers, dual 50W wireless smartphone charging pads, and generous cargo space—20.2 ft³ expanding to 48.5 ft³ with rear seats folded down. A large center armrest compartment can hold up to five standard water bottles.
The XOS cockpit system enhances user experience with smoother interface transitions, faster app responsiveness, and smarter voice recognition. The upgraded "Hey XPeng" voice assistant offers intelligent recommendations across the cabin’s four zones.

Safety is a top priority, with the battery protected by a structural safety framework reinforced with ballistic-grade armor to withstand extreme conditions. The XPILOT ASSIST system delivers advanced driver assistance, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control, and Enhanced AutoParking Assist.
The new XPeng G6 will be available on UK roads starting February 2026, with prices ranging from $54,920 for the Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) Standard Range, up to $61,780 for the Long Range version, and the top-tier AWD Performance Black Edition priced from $68,650.
