
Instagram has launched a new feature that allows users to view and control their Reels algorithm for the first time. By tapping the icon with two lines and hearts located in the upper right corner, users can access their personalized algorithm settings.
Within this interface, users can see the topics Instagram believes they are interested in, and adjust their preferences to see more or less of specific content. These changes will then influence their recommended Reels. Additionally, users have the option to share their algorithm-based interests to their Story, providing a playful way to share what the algorithm has identified about their tastes.

Instagram plans to expand this feature to other parts of the app, including the Explore tab, with more updates expected soon, according to the company’s blog post. The Reels algorithm controls are currently rolling out in the U.S. and will be available globally in English shortly.
