According to recent rumors from China, Xiaomi is developing the Xiaomi Tag, a new tracking device aimed at competing directly with Apple’s AirTag and the Moto Tag.

The Xiaomi Tag is expected to launch officially on December 26 in China, coinciding with the release of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. While an international release has not yet been confirmed, there is strong anticipation that Xiaomi will bring the device to global markets.

Xiaomi Tag will take on Apple's AirTag and the Moto Tag

The device will utilize Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, similar to Apple’s AirTag, enhancing accuracy and reliability in tracking. Additionally, the Xiaomi Tag is reportedly compatible with Google’s Find My Device network, enabling seamless integration with Android ecosystems.

Pricing is expected to be competitive, with the Xiaomi Tag likely to retail for under $25 in China.
