Google Extends Repair Program for Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL Display Issues, Adds 3-Year Warranty for Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Google has announced an extended repair program for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL models experiencing display issues. Additionally, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold now benefits from a 3-year extended warranty.

The extended repair program covers Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL devices showing display flickering or a vertical green line. Eligible devices are covered for up to three years from the original purchase date.

Google specifies that devices with cracked displays or damaged cover glass will not qualify for this program. Similarly, damage caused by water exposure may also be excluded from coverage.

In addition, Google has extended the warranty for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, now offering a longer three-year coverage period. While the company has not detailed specific damage types covered, it states devices with functionality issues will be eligible for this extended warranty.

The repair program supports coverage for three years from the purchase date but excludes devices with cracked displays, damaged cover glass, or water damage. Google is likely providing free repair services for affected displays.

Furthermore, the company notes that customers with impacted Pixel 9 Pro Fold devices may be eligible for a free replacement unit.
