The One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Watch FE is currently rolling out in South Korea with firmware version R861XXU1CYK6. This update includes the October 2025 security patch, which is now outdated as of December 2023, reflecting the often delayed security updates in the Wear OS ecosystem.
If no major issues arise during this initial rollout in Korea, the update is expected to expand to other regions in the coming weeks.
Users in Korea can check for the update by opening the Galaxy Wearable app, selecting Watch settings, navigating to Watch software update, and tapping Download and install.
