Zeekr Officially Launches in Germany, Targeting Booming Company Car Market with Advanced EVs

Source: Date:

Zeekr, a brand under the Geely Group, has officially launched its electric vehicles in Germany, focusing strategically on the country's substantial company car sector. Given that commercial customers represent nearly two-thirds of new vehicle registrations in Germany, Zeekr aims to offer fleet operators electric vehicles that excel in range, charging speed, and everyday reliability.

Zeekr introduces three key models for the German market: the Zeekr X crossover, Zeekr 7X SUV, and Zeekr 001 shooting brake. Orders for all three began December 1, with deliveries starting in January. Pricing starts at $44,510 for the Zeekr X, $64,420 for the Zeekr 7X, and $70,280 for the Zeekr 001.

Eschewing traditional, complex option lists, Zeekr provides fully equipped vehicles. The Zeekr 7X and Zeekr 001 Privilege models include air suspension, heat pumps, massage seats, Matrix LED headlights, and advanced driver assistance systems as standard. Importantly for business users, all models qualify for Germany’s favorable 0.25 percent company car tax rate.

The flagship Zeekr 001 measures 16.24 ft long, 6.53 ft wide, and 5.12 ft high, on a 9.81 ft wheelbase. Its performance-oriented All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) variant delivers 400 kW (544 hp), accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

Equipped with a 100 kWh battery, the Zeekr 001 supports DC fast charging up to 200 kW. Despite its high performance, it remains practical, offering 19 ft³ of trunk space expandable to 75.7 ft³ with rear seats folded. It also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, supplying up to 3.3 kW to external devices.

The lineup’s other two models include the compact Zeekr X and mid-sized Zeekr 7X SUV. The Zeekr X measures 14.53 ft long, 6 ft wide, and 5.12 ft high, with a 9.02 ft wheelbase. Available in Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) and AWD versions, the RWD model uses a 69 kWh battery, producing 200 kW (272 hp) and accelerating to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds. It offers an impressive WLTP range of up to 273 miles.

The Zeekr 7X is slightly larger at 15.81 ft long, 6.33 ft wide, and 5.45 ft high, with a 9.58 ft wheelbase. Its AWD variant features a powerful dual-motor setup delivering 475 kW (646 hp) and 524 lb-ft of torque, reaching 0–62 mph in just 3.8 seconds—unusually quick for a family SUV.

Zeekr employs a direct-to-consumer sales model via a digital ordering platform, complemented by personalized support. To ensure convenient servicing, Zeekr is establishing a nationwide network of certified partners, currently with 40 service centers and plans to expand to over 100 by mid-2026. Their partner, Global Automotive Service GmbH, provides access to around 1,700 connected workshops, ensuring quality repairs and high spare part availability.

Zeekr’s warranty program is robust: the high-voltage battery is covered for 8 years or 124,000 miles; the vehicle itself comes with a 5-year/62,000-mile warranty, extendable to 10 years or 124,000 miles when maintenance is performed within the Zeekr network. Nationwide test drives will commence through service partners by the end of the year.

Zeekr’s entry into Germany aligns with growing market trends: a recent survey indicates 78 percent of fleet managers plan to add Chinese premium EVs to their fleets soon, and nearly 60 percent of company car drivers intend to switch to fully electric vehicles within two years.
