Global shipments of foldable smartphones rose 14% in Q3 2025, reaching a new quarterly high. Samsung led the market with an estimated 64% share of all foldable shipments during the quarter. According to a recent Counterpoint Research report, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 were the top sellers, helping the company strengthen its market dominance. Samsung’s Q3 performance marks a 32% increase in global foldable shipments compared to the same period last year.

Huawei secured second place with an estimated 15% market share, followed by Motorola at 7% and Honor with 6%, completing the top four. Vivo (4%) and Xiaomi (2%) held the final two positions in the market share rankings.

Foldable smartphones now represent 2.5% of all global smartphone shipments, driven largely by growing demand for book-style foldables. Looking ahead, the foldable smartphone market is expected to expand further in 2026, especially with Apple's anticipated entry through the much-speculated iPhone Fold.
